Arts and Cultural Development Strategy 2020-2025

This consultation has now closed and we thankyou for your feedback. Updates will be made to this project page as they become available.

Help shape the future of arts and culture in Maroondah

Council's first Arts and Cultural Development Strategy was launched in 2014 and reflected the values and priorities of our community for arts and culture. Since then Maroondah has been growing and developing as a vibrant and culturally rich city. People of all ages and abilities can enjoy a wide range of arts experiences at popular facilities such as Wyreena Community Arts Centre, Karralyka Theatre and Maroondah Federation Estate as well as in public spaces across Maroondah.

Our community have told us they would like to see the arts as part of their everyday lives. Public art across Maroondah is bringing new life to everyday spaces, celebrating imagination and creativity across our City. In Ringwood, a new arts precinct is emerging, with indoor and outdoor creative spaces now hosting contemporary arts and cultural programming.

We are now developing the Maroondah Arts and Culture Development Strategy 2020-2025. We want to hear your thoughts and ideas about how we can continue to work together with the community, artists and the creative industries to make Maroondah even more liveable - a place where the arts and creativity are supported and celebrated and contribute to the wellbeing of all.

If you would like any further information please call our Arts and Cultural Development Team on 1300 88 22 33.
