Maroondah Community Panel
Consultation has concluded
Expression of interest has now closed.
You’re invited to be part of an exciting opportunity to help make Maroondah an even better place to live, work, stay and play.
Moving beyond the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re starting the new year with some fresh thinking about the future of our City and we need your help.
Maroondah City Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members to join our Maroondah Deliberative Panel. The panel provides a unique opportunity for you to help make the City of Maroondah the best it can be.
As part of the panel, you’ll have the chance to work with up to 40 other community members to assess how we’re progressing with our 2040 Community Vision and help develop future Council plans and strategies to ensure we can make Maroondah the City our community wants and needs.
The Deliberative panel will meet several times over coming months, both in -person and online. Panel members will have the opportunity to ask questions, hear from experts and better understand the challenges facing our City. This will inform their thinking and recommendations for our next Council Plan, ten-year Financial plan and Asset Plan. You can learn more about the panel and deliberative process in the FAQ section on this page
As information and deliberation builds over consecutive panel meetings, selected community members will be required to participate in all scheduled sessions. We appreciate this is a significant time commitment, however, this is a great opportunity to be involved in local decision making and participants will be compensated for their time and effort.
