Consultation has concluded
The Draft Council Plan 2017-2021 (2020-2021 Update) sets out Council’s key directions and priority actions for the medium term to work towards the aspirations of the Maroondah community looking ahead to the year 2040, in alignment with Maroondah 2040: Our future together. It also lists priority actions to be undertaken by Council over the 2020/21 financial year to work toward the achievement of these outcome areas.
The Proposed Budget 2020/21 documents the financial and non-financial resources required by Council to implement the outcomes, key directions and priority actions identified in the Draft Council Plan.
At a Special Meeting of Council on Thursday 18 June, Council resolved to place the Draft Council Plan and Proposed Budget on community exhibition. The exhibition period is from Friday 19 June to Friday 17 July.
Anyone can make a written submission on a proposal contained in the Draft Council Plan and/or the Proposed Budget, but they must do so before 5pm, Friday 17 July 2020. If a person wishes to address Council (in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf) regarding their submission, they must indicate this in the submission. All submissions will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

A meeting of a Committee of Council will be held at 7pm, Wednesday 22 July 2020 to consider all submissions on the Draft Council Plan and Proposed Budget.
Council will receive the recommendations of the Committee and consider the adoption of the Draft Council Plan and Proposed Budget at a meeting of Council to be held at 7.30pm, Monday 27 July 2020.
