Consultation Summary
A big thankyou to everyone who provided feedback on proposed key elements being considered for Jubilee Park.
Consultation was undertaken with key user groups, local residents and the broader community from 7 October to 3 November 2019. A stakeholder consultation group was established, comprising representatives from existing user groups at Jubilee Park. The aim of the consultation group is to assist in disseminating information to their respective members and networks, and to help guide the development of a draft Enhancement Plan.
Overall we received 140 responses, both on-line and at the drop-in sessions at Jubilee Park
How did we promote the consultation?
- Direct mail - A community information bulletin was sent to approximately 2,500 local residents in close proximity to Jubilee Park
- Emails sent to key user groups of Jubilee Park
- Media articles placed on the Maroondah City Council Corporate Website
- Social media campaign - using Councils Corporate Facebook and Twitter pages
- Promotion on Councils Corporate TV screens at all Customer Service Centers
- Posters/postcards distributed to existing user groups
- On-site signage at Jubilee Park

What did we hear?
The majority of proposed key elements being considered for Jubilee Park received a high percentage of support from respondents.

Survey results indicated a higher level of 'Do not support' for elements proposed under Enhanced Sporting Facilities, relating to upgrades to Soccer playing surfaces, scoreboard and lighting. Respondents who gave this response cited reasons including soccer being previously upgraded and everything is currently in good condition, Soccer is a relatively new sport, money should be spent on other sports and concerns for over spill of lighting impacting nearby residents.
All feedback received during this consultation stage will be reviewed by the project team, and will inform a draft Enhancement Plan for Jubilee Park. Further consultation opportunities on the draft Enhancement Plan will be provided.
