Maroondah Student Voice Forum
In August this year, 35 students from years 7 to 12, representing five Maroondah secondary schools participated in a range of workshops about topics chosen by young people that are important to student wellbeing. Workshop themes were chosen by the Maroondah Youth Wellbeing Advocates (MYWA) who also facilitated these peer-led discussions. Students went through a process of discovering what was going well in relation to their topic, dreaming about what an ideal future could look like, and designing an action that would take them a step closer to their dream. These conversations and proposed actions will be part of the data for this consultation to inform Council's Youth Action Plan and raise the wellbeing of young people in Maroondah.
