Consultation has concluded

Maroondah City Council has prepared an amendment to the Maroondah Planning Scheme.

Amendment C104 is required to apply the heritage overlay at two locations that have been assessed as worthy of a heritage overlay.

At its meeting on 22 August 2016, Council resolved to exhibit the amendment upon receipt of authorisation from the Minister for Planning. For more information, please see the Council Meeting Minutes 22 August 2016.

Proposed changes

The Amendment proposes to apply the Heritage Overlay to two significant places within the Maroondah City Council municipal area.

The amendment applies the Heritage Overlay to:

  • 14 Wonga Road, Ringwood
  • 46-48 Dickasons Road, Heathmont.

Both properties were initially nominated for the heritage overlay by their respective owners.

The heritage citations support the landowner’s view that the properties are of local significance and worthy of a heritage overlay.
