About the program

Council’s Tree Maintenance team are conducting community consultation with Croydon residents to create a tree renewal plan for the streets within the maintenance area known as Block 15.

The Street Tree Renewal program aims to renew the tree plantings in streets and neighbourhoods where the current street trees:

  • do not conform to standard growth behaviour
  • are not uniform with the dominant species within that street and/or the original planning approvals
  • or are coming to the end of their useful life expectancy (ULE).

Have your say

Council want to hear what residents value about the look and feel of trees and plants in the relevant areas and where there are opportunities for additional greening.

Trees which are considered historically or personally significant to residents, or perform important habitat or environmental services, will be assessed as part of the process.

The consultation period is open from Monday 8 June to Monday 6 July and residents can provide feedback online or in-person.

Pop up consultation events

Three in-person pop up sessions with Council’s Tree Maintenance team will be held in Croydon. Come along to discuss street trees and neighbourhood character to contribute to crafting a vision for the street tree renewal plan. Shelter will be provided so the sessions can go ahead in wet weather.

  • When: Tuesday 23 June, 2 to 4pm
  • Where: The Range Estate Playground, 51 Evans Drive, Croydon

Provide feedback

This consultation will be restricted to residents of the Block 15 area in Croydon, due to the specificity of the locations and lived experience of the area and streetscape. Residents will need to provide their address when submitting feedback.
