Maroondah City Council has prepared Amendment C134 to the Maroondah Planning Scheme. Amendment C134maro applies to the Ringwood Greyfield Precinct bound by Loughnan Road to the north, Warrandyte Road to the east, Ringwood Street to the west and the Ringwood Bypass to the south.

The Amendment proposes to rezone the Precinct from Neighbourhood Residential Zone to General Residential Zone Schedule 3 and introduce a Development Plan Overlay Schedule 7 and Development Contributions Plan Schedule 2. The Amendment also introduced the Design Framework and Concept Plan, Ringwood Greyfield Precinct, 2019 as a Reference Document to the Maroondah Planning Scheme. Other changes are also proposed to the Municipal Strategic Statement and the Local Planning Policy within the Maroondah Planning Scheme to support the strategic basis for the Amendment and update the policy application.

Any person who may be affected by the amendment can make a submission to the planning authority about the Amendment. Submissions must be made in writing and include the submitter’s name and contact address, along with clearly stated grounds on which the Amendment is supported or opposed, and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to see made to the Amendment.

Name and contact details of the submitters are required for Council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.

The planning authority must make a copy of every submission available at its office and/or on its website for any person to inspect free of charge for two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses.
