Raising the wellbeing of our children, young people and families

Council wants Maroondah to be a place where our children and young people can flourish. We invite you to be involved and have your say!

Over the next few months, Council will be consulting widely to find out how we can help raise the wellbeing of children, young people and families in Maroondah.

The consultation findings will be used to inform Council’s new Children & Families Strategy and Action Plan, and the new Action Plan for Council’s existing Youth Strategy.

The first consultation activity will be the Maroondah Wellbeing Surveys, conducted in partnership by Council, the Department of Education & Training and The University of Melbourne.

Four different Maroondah Wellbeing Surveys are open from May 27 until June 21, for -

  • Primary school students (via schools)
  • Secondary school students (via schools)
  • School staff (via schools)
  • Parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 years in Maroondah (via schools or via the Parent/Carer Wellbeing Survey link below – hard copy survey forms are also available via Council’s three Customer Service Centres)

There will be multiple opportunities for the community to be involved over the coming months including surveys, focus groups and co-design forums. Opportunities to have your say will be advertised on this page.

If you would like to be notified when these opportunities are available, please leave your details via the 'Register for updates" button on the top right of this page
