Initial preparation of a masterplan for the Croydon Community Precinct started in 2017, and to date has included significant consultation with each of the current user groups and stakeholders in the precinct.

These consultations have progressed well and Council will shortly consult the community on the possible consolidation and integration of facilities in the precinct and the establishment of two new Community Hub buildings.

One possible community hub could accommodate the Croydon Library, a Council service centre and business hub, a centre for community wellbeing, all community groups currently in the precinct, as well as providing space for other community groups to relocate into the precinct.

The second possible hub could accommodate an integrated family and children’s centre, including Maternal & Child Health services.
