Project background
As an Activity Centre (Croydon AC), Croydon provides a suburban focal point for services, employment, housing, public transport, and social interaction.
In 2006, Maroondah City Council prepared the first Structure Plan for Croydon. A lot has happened since then. We are now checking back in with the community to review and update the Plan to ensure it is in line with current social, environmental and economic challenges and opportunities.
Council prepared a Discussion Paper to explore future opportunities for Croydon Activity Centre. These include housing, businesses, environment, urban design, transport, and community infrastructure opportunities.
You can read the Summary Discussion Paper or the detailed Discussion Paper in the document library. You can also view the opportunities being considered by clicking view maps. The Discussion Paper has been informed by series of background papers.
