Disability Action Plans are required under section 38 of the Victorian Disability Act 2006, to be developed by Council's for the purpose of:
- Reducing barriers for persons with disabilities accessing information, goods, services and facilities
- Reducing barriers to persons with disabilities obtaining or maintaining employment
- Promoting inclusion and participation in the community
- Achieving tangible changes in attitudes and practices that discriminate against persons with disabilities
This important document outlines Council's commitment and strategic direction in supporting a more accessible and socially inclusive community in Maroondah.
We are currently seeking feedback to help inform our Disability Action Plan 2026-2030.
