In December 2020, Council provided key stakeholders and the community with an update on the Dorset Reserve Enhancement Plan. Further to this update, Council has now developed a schedule of works and proposed timelines for the enhanced sporting
facilities component.
The sporting facilities component of the enhancement plan includes the redevelopment of the current sports pavilion into a new multipurpose community
sports hub. The facility will be home to the Croydon City Soccer Club and the Victorian Burmese/Myanmar community
Proposed Timelines:
- September to October 2021: Pre construction civil works undertaken. Restricted access via Jenkins Lane may be required by Supply Authorities who will be upgrading services to the reserve. Impacted residents will be notified by the relevant authority.
- October 2021 to April 2022: Pavilion construction
- September 2021 to April 2022: Development of pitches and associative infrastructure
- April 2022: Installation of lighting (pending statutory approval process)
- Late 2021: Carpark enhancements. onsite carparking will be limited or reduced during this time with some impact to the pathways adjacent to the carparks.
