Residents of Golf Links Estate in Croydon are invited to provide their feedback on the future of trees and vegetation in the estate.

About the program

The Street Tree Renewal program aims to renew the tree plantings in streets and neighbourhoods where the current street trees:

  • do not conform to standard growth behaviour;
  • are not uniform with the dominant species within that street and/or the original planning approvals; or
  • are coming to the end of their useful life expectancy.

As part of the program, Council’s Tree Maintenance team are consulting with residents of the Golf Links Estate.

Have your say

Council want to hear what residents value about the look and feel of trees and plants in the estate and where there are opportunities for additional greening.

Trees which are considered historically or personally significant to residents, or perform important habitat or environmental services, will be assessed as part of the process.

The consultation period is open from Tuesday 18 March to Tuesday 8 April. Provide your feedback by completing the short survey below.

What happens next

Following the consultation period, residents will receive a report summarising the in-person and online feedback. The feedback will inform recommendations for the Golf Links Estate Street Tree Renewal Plan. This Plan will then set out the planting methodology moving forward and is due to be developed and finalised by June 2025.
