The Liveable Neighbourhoods project focuses on working with communities to plan for places that are more liveable, vibrant and inclusive.

Visit Council's website to learn more and understand why liveable neighbourhoods are important.

Place Planning for Liveable Neighbourhoods Project builds upon previous work undertaken by Council in investigating the liveability of Croydon South and Ringwood North. A background review has been undertaken of relevant policy, strategy and projects relevant to each neighbourhood.

Community Information Sessions were held on Saturday 7 December 2024 to encourage the local community to provide initial input into the opportunities and constraints of their local neighbourhoods. The sessions also allowed the community to discuss and provide input into each Centre’s vision, as well as identifying what is important to local residents.

Council is seeking feedback from community members who have a connection with each local area, to inform planning in key areas such as placemaking, transport, housing and the environment and public spaces.
