Shape the future of transport in Maroondah

Keep us moving and connected
Transport plays an essential role in our lives. Having the means to get from one place to another, safely and without barriers, is fundamental to our quality of life, wellbeing, and ability to access and enjoy all the opportunities Maroondah affords us. In today’s landscape where challenges of climate change, intensive land use, congestion, pollution, social-economic disadvantage, an ageing community and car dependency loom large, we are working towards transformative change which supports our city’s growth and development.
Council has prepared a draft of the Maroondah Transport Strategy 2024-2034, which establishes a strategic direction to guide transport decision-making and actions over the next 10 years so we can better connect people to the places they want to go and need to be.
This Strategy is more than just about streets and transport; it’s about people, communities, and the environment. It involves shaping our city that motivates us to venture beyond our usual travel routines, to discover new ways of getting around, and to tap into the opportunities presented by the advancements within our reach.
