Council is in the process of developing the draft Maroondah Sustainability Strategy 2021 to 2030. This is one of Council’s key strategic documents and plays a key role in delivering on sustainability outcomes identified in Maroondah 2040: Our future together, providing a strong foundation to deliver a more liveable and sustainable environment in Maroondah. The strategy will contribute to Council’s Maroondah 2040 Community Vision for the municipality for a clean, green and sustainable community.

In developing the new strategy, Council is undertaking a comprehensive review of the Maroondah Sustainability Strategy which includes reflecting on the achievements of the past strategy, undertaking research, and preparation of an Issues and Options paper to inform the final strategy.

Council is keen to understand your views on the information presented in the draft Sustainability Strategy Issues and Options Paper, in particular, on the various options presented for Council to pursue into the future as part of the Maroondah Sustainability Strategy Review. The directions and actions that Council decides to pursue will be articulated in a draft Council strategy that community will be invited to comment on later in 2021.
