Consultation update - May 2023
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on our draft enhancement plans for Woodland Park. The plan was endorsed by Council in March 2023, with staged works and improvements to take place over the coming years.
The enhancement plans were developed based on feedback from key stakeholders and members of the community, to help ensure Woodland Park meets the future needs of our community.
Proposed improvements for the area include:
A flexible open space
A viewing area
Re-vegetation and buffer planting
A picnic zone
Public amenities
Enhanced play and gathering places, such as areas for wheel play, games, nature play and structured play
Car parking and signage improvements
Improved connections for walkers who use the loop trail
We are excited to present the draft enhancement plan for the future of Woodland Park (and part of the former Croydon South Primary School land).
Draft enhancement plan
The draft plan has been prepared based on community consultation undertaken in December 2021 and we'd love to hear your thoughts on its elements including:
Enhancement and preservation of the environmental values
Improved connections for walkers
Enhanced play and gather spaces
The draft plan aims to ensure the reserve continues to meet the needs of the Maroondah community, including utilising part of the former Croydon South Primary School space acquired by Council.
The different elements of the draft enhancement plan are also available to view, including the gathering, natural, infrastructure and play elements. Images have also been included as examples. You can access these documents through the documents sidebar.

Your feedback on the different elements presented in the plan will help shape the final plan and inform the future works in the area.
