Planning Scheme Amendments: Public Exhibition Stage
Any person who may be affected by the planning scheme amendment may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment.
This form has been prepared to assist in making submissions details clear for all parties in a way which complies with the Planning and Environment Act 1987. There is no requirement under the Act that you use this or any particular form. (Please note that a separate form must be used to object to a Statutory planning application)
Submissions to a Planning Scheme Amendment and Privacy
Maroondah City Council (Council) is committed to protecting your privacy as prescribed by the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (PE Act) and the Privacy & Data Protection Act 2014 (PDP Act). Your submission and the personal information on this form is collected by Maroondah City Council for the purposes of the planning process as set out in the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (PE Act). Your submission is a public document.
Council must make a copy of every submission available in accordance with the public availability requirements until the end of two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses, pursuant to Section 21 of the Planning & Environment Act 1987.
Name and contact details of submitters are required for Council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend Council meetings and any Panel Hearing held to consider submissions. If a submission is made jointly by a number of people, the submission should nominate one person (name and address) as the group’s representative for notices and representation at a panel hearing, pursuant to Section 21A of the Planning & Environment Act 1987. The PE Act allows for notices to be sent to one of the signatories of a petition.
