As part of our ongoing strategic planning processes for Maroondah, Council develops a diverse range of strategies and plans, and undertakes relevant research projects, to ensure that our community assets, sporting infrastructure, and public open spaces meet the current and future needs and aspirations of our community.

Our local reserves, including Eastfield Park, are regularly assessed to determine their current usage, and whether there is capacity to address the growing need for sporting infrastructure, whilst balancing the need to maintain natural bushland, habitat, and public open space.
